“Love Always still stands out as one of the most emotionally potent songs to reach the Twin Cities in recent memory. For the heartfelt video, the band took the song’s message of growth through mourning to a personal level. ‘Loss always feels solitary,’ the band said in a press release associated with the video. ‘We tried to make Love Always feel that way, and personal.'”

– Jerard Fagerberg, City Pages, Local Frames: Top MN Videos Blog, August 7, 2018

“Circus of the West pour a lot of emotion into their music, writing from a place of experience – of loss, joy, sadness, ageing, generational shifts – and they craft their songs with beauty and power, subtlety and grace.”

– Jim McGuinn, Program Director, 89.3 The Current – KCMP Minneapolis

Circus of the West infuses pop melodies and rock energy with lyrics about identity and connection. Their debut full-length, We’ll See Ourselves Out, was produced by Adam Levy of The Honeydogs. The 11-song collection reflects on hope, loss, and losing control. “This project is about shedding false skin,” says Edwin Caldie, who shares songwriting credits with Joel Leviton on the album. “We’re seeing ourselves out and inviting others to do the same.”
